Description (last modified by )
Here are some August 2024 certificates of assessment for chemicals.
These are not listed chemicals yet. They will be in 5 years or earlier if decided otherwise. BUT while they are publically announced they are not currently listed.
We therefore need to decide how Chemintro can use this information to assist users.
Some research is needed to see if we can obtain earlier Assessment certificates. If so and we can offer a complete set set back five years to the most recent listings we could provide useful info to users.
The following is an example of what is published.

Only the holder of an assessment certificate is entitled to introduce the chemical.
If someone other than the holder wishes to introduce the same chemical then that other person needs to be named as a holder of such a certificate. Obviously that can happen by going through the same process as the existing holder(s).
This is essentially what Chemintro helps with via the categorisation process resulting in Exempted, Reported or Assessed.
However, if a potential introducer knew that there are existing holders of a certificate for the same chemical, such awareness might be of business interest.
Chemintro already auto-creates a useful link pointing at the AICIS assessments search page. Therefore, the user already has access to the necessary information.
If AICIS provided a search API we could do a search and alert the user accordingly. They do not.
In order to retire this ticket as fixed, the best we can do is conjure up some help text, to be printed in the Useful link synopsis, which explains the situation and includes the CAS number for copying and pasting into the AICIS search field on the linked page.
