Server is running and fully prepared. Transfer of database and DNS switch is scheduled for Saturday afternoon 1 October 2022 at 1400.

Mission accomplished. Chemintro is running properly on the latest versions of the infrastructure componentry.
We can now upgrade development platform components to match those latest versions. This ticket remains open until all steps are complete.

Encountering a webserver bug every few days when it hangs. This might require configuring more server/child processes. Research is under way.

The latest version of the web server was pre-installed on the new server. It had a bug which caused a crash when configured with out-of-the-box defaults. This one bit us.
We have adjusted the configuration to stop that happening and await expert advice to confirm.

Web server seems stable so we can close this ticket.
New server 'pq8do' is up and running. It will require some downtime perhaps over a weeked to transfer the database.
