#4 closed defect (fixed)

During testing charging is initiated without selecting Introduction report

Reported by: Mike Dewhirst Owned by: Mike Dewhirst
Priority: medium Version: 1.x
Keywords: payment trigger Cc:

Description (last modified by Mike Dewhirst)

System design was to permit data entry as far as desired without charge. The determinant for triggering payment was:

  1. Not listed with AICIS (as per manual selection in AICIS listing field); or
  2. No selection in the Exclusion field of the Introduction record
  3. Selection of 'Introduction report' in Report type in the Introduction section

Payment triggering is occurring without 'Introduction report' being selected.

We now have a set of gates to trigger payment. Anything not lined up as follows will defeat payment and categorisation:

  1. AICIS listing must be set to 'Searched for but not found' - which happens automatically if left blank!
  2. Introduction Report type must be changed by the user from 'Data report' to 'Introduction report'. NB This is the real determinant for triggering payment.
  3. Introduction Exclusion field must be left blank
  4. Introduction Introduction category field should be left blank to be calculated automatically.

Setting Introduction category to 'Commercial evaluation' will defeat categorisation and payment. Commercial evaluation is the domain of a human not a computer!
