If different products for a company carry different brands it will be possible to report accordingly.

Current situation

For AICIS categorisation purposes it is necessary to know/predict annual chemical volumes.

These can only come from product volumes and product ingredient proportions.

Therefore, given accurate product volumes, Chemintro can provide accurate information management and reporting for chemical volumes.

Currently such reporting could be broken into the following views for a company:

• By annual product (SKU) volume
• By annual chemical volume
• By Division
• By AICIS category
• Whether declared annually to AICIS or not
• By end use
• By maximum concentration at end use
• By health hazard
• By environment hazard
• Many other data types

Brand proposal

If each product could carry a brand, the above could also be viewed ..

• By brand

Absent the user creating any Brands, there will be no change to the current display/reporting situation

Chemintro redesign

Wherever a Company name would normally be displayed in the context of a Product, the Product's Brand name will be used instead.

Branding has now been implemented as described above with one exception.

Optionally upload a brand image and enter image dimensions

In fact the image dimensions are detected and entered automatically. However, the image is always displayed as a thumbnail with whatever dimensions you set in the Thumb height and Thumb width fields.

You should do the arithmetic to keep them in proportion with the image dimensions to avoid distortion. Make them as large or small as you like for convenience.

Brand user interface

• In the Company screen click Add another Brand

• Enter the Brand name

• Optionally set the Default field to 'Yes'

• Optionally upload a brand image and enter Thumbnail (display) image dimensions

• Optionally enter Title text mouse rollover hint

• Repeat as required until all company Brands have been entered

Product user interface

• In the Product screen, optionally select a Brand, otherwise:

• If there are no Brands or no Brand with Default = 'Yes', nothing will be displayed

• If there is a Brand with Default = 'Yes' that Brand will be automatically selected

• If there is more than one Brand with Default = 'Yes', the Brand with the earliest alphabetic Title text will be selected and where Brand name will be used if there is no Title text

• If the brand has an associated image it will be automatically displayed

• If there is no uploaded brand image the Brand Title text will be displayed

• If there is no Brand Title text the Brand name will be displayed
